Boo

About danielle

I am a rescue mom and school teacher. Gerry came to me from Texas, after he "failed" as a hunting dog. He had NOT had an easy life. I was three years divorced, and we saved each other. Last week I learned he has osteosarcoma. Our world feels upside down...while everyone else is right side up.

He did. He really did. An early Christmas present! Bought a medium sized crate last night. Tonight will be my first night home early so I can type out more details!

She’s beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I just read her story at the link you posted. Well done, Gerry. Well done. You did a fantastic job connecting your mom with a new pup.

    So happy for you. Congrats!

HOLY MOLY GERRY!!!! You had someone special picked out all along for your Mom!!! You knew this sweet pup needed to be loved and cared for by the best hooman for the job! And you knew who thst hooman was! And you also have known all along that, when the time was right, based on all your Enlightened Soul Wisdom, you would put these together for a bonding that they both need so badly!

As you can see, we are all over the moon happy for you!!! Each one of us who have posted so far, are absolutely incapable of living without a dog. It broke my heart that you went so long. I understand, but still, I knew the void, the lack of joy, were crushing you. The ONLY way to help heal when you grieve so hard, is to allow yourself to be loved unconditionally again, and to love unconditionally again.

I cannot wait, CANNOT WAIT, to follow you and the pup on this heart journeyπŸ’–

    Was your pup born blind?

Oh, as you probably know, my Merry Myrtle lost her eyesight completely in a very short time due to glaucoma. A really helpful book full of great tips is “Living With a Blind Dog”.

We are all so happy for youπŸ’–β€

Gerry is the best. He knows his mom wouldn’t have rescued just “any” one else. They had to be special, just as he is to me!

That’s great! I am almost happier for Boo than I am for you but it’s a close call! I imagine there will be all new challenges with a blind dog but it will be so rewarding, too.
and yes, please, absolutely do keep us updated. I can’t wait!!
