Boo, due to her predisposition, is a natural ‘jumper upper’ when you get home. Only David’s, “Off,” works. Not mine. I have to walk around and ignore her While saying “Off,” until she gets calm enough to say hello without ME getting scratched! Gerry would meet me…bu he Never jumped on anyone….Ever. I never appreciated that trait…or thanked the Lord that he didn’t. “I wish that I knew what I know now., when I was younger.”

Absolutely the BEST part of the day is coming home to a wagging tail and/or veing jumped on!!😉
My Murtle jas a CONSTANT need to be petted. She needs that physical connection. Not being able to see me, to see my expression, etc, I think it’s her way of making sure I’m “here” and making sure I know she’s “here”.
Wondering if Bo’s extra exuberant jumping is to make sure you “see” him and to let you know “Here…..over here Mom! I’m here!”
Of course, if “no” works and it settle him down, then my theory is way off!
Regardless, having a dog greet you in whatever form is still glorious!! Gerry must be laughing his butt off at the way Bo welcomes you home!
I love the image of Gerry laughing… 🙂 XOXO
Awww the training phase! Too cute.
Sounds like our relationship with Wyatt Ray. He listens to almost anything Admin Guy tells him to do but me? Hah, forget it. However, he can’t jump very much with only one back leg, so he reserves it for extra special occasions 😉
