He was a cozy boy

This is a picture of  Gerry in December of 2014, two years before his diagnosis.  Curling up into the smallest bed possible was one of his Favorite things.  I think it comforted him to feel snug as bug in a rug, so to speak.  I was smart enough to put his original mattress near the radiator, so that he’d be warm in the winter if he picked that bed to sleep in.  Can you see how his tail is ALL curled around his whole face?  It was the cutest thing to see.  I believe I see snow out of the window, which I wouldn’t be surprised about. 2002-2004 winters were brutal!

About danielle

I am a rescue mom and school teacher. Gerry came to me from Texas, after he "failed" as a hunting dog. He had NOT had an easy life. I was three years divorced, and we saved each other. Last week I learned he has osteosarcoma. Our world feels upside down...while everyone else is right side up.

    Sweeeet memory!!!
Snug as a bug in a rug indeed!! Yes, I see that curved tail helping to keep his handsome mug warm! Looks like snow to me too. But Gerry’s all warm being in his “nest” with his human watching over him.

You sure did create a Paradise for Gerrry…every singke day…Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall!
    Lots of love

Awwww. He just knew how much his mamma loved him whenever he got into that special spot in the coziest part of your house. Beautiful!
