I think he’s dreaming about being a squirrel!

Look at this boy!  So cozy!  Do you think it could be because he ate his first hamburger with us, for dinner tonight?  I couldn’t resist after 6 years.  We had a few friends over, and so many extra burgers. Plus he was SO polite and good while we ate, that I had to! He got so much love from our guests that it wore him out!

I am a rescue mom and school teacher. Gerry came to me from Texas, after he "failed" as a hunting dog. He had NOT had an easy life. I was three years divorced, and we saved each other. Last week I learned he has osteosarcoma. Our world feels upside down...while everyone else is right side up.

    FIRST HAMBURGER IN SIX YEARS!!! OMD!!! At my house Merry Myrtle and Frankie would consider that “abuse”!!!

    Way to go Gerry!!! Patience and politeness pays off!!

    As crazy as this journey is for us humans, all the dogs know is that they get extra yummy goodies that used to be a no-no!!!

    Hamburgers today…ice cream with sprinkles tomorrow 🙂

    Yep, there’s no way to resist the Gerrymeister! After all this time a little burger is a beautiful thing.
