Dear Gerry, I’m watching you all curled up in your bed. I’m so glad that you started to get up to go out for our walk this early morning (5 am). I hate to bother you when I don’t know what you’re feeling. I hate to leave you to go back to work today, but I know you’ll be taken care of. It will probably be better for both of us to have a break. I need to go be distracted by adult things, and you can lay in the sun and not wonder why I’m still here. We both need to try to stay in our routine, albeit new.
Thank you to those who posted comments of encouragement and support. I don’t feel quite so alone in all of this…
