What NOT many people understand:

Gerry spontaneously made me laugh, like in this photo.  I miss the smell of his familiar  fur fragrance with the spontaneity of moments like these.

He also made me feel better by randomly putting his chin or paw on my leg while we sat on the couch.

About danielle

I am a rescue mom and school teacher. Gerry came to me from Texas, after he "failed" as a hunting dog. He had NOT had an easy life. I was three years divorced, and we saved each other. Last week I learned he has osteosarcoma. Our world feels upside down...while everyone else is right side up.

So glad you captured these special random moments of spontaneity. These remind you of the everyday “ordinary gestures” that made Gerry be Gerry. It also reminds you of the magical moments of connection that you and Gerry shared over and over everyday.

These are such sweet remembrances. Thanks for letting us have another peeep into Gerry’s “specialness”. You can tell in that first picture how proud he is to catch you in an off guard moment where he reminds you what a cute and dunny guy he is! 🙂

    Lots of love
Gerry’s proud Auntie Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Awwww totally get it. It’s those little moments that count so much. Many people forget that when their best buddy is still alive. But you clearly knew in every moment he was with you that even the simple things like those are treasures. Talk about being present. Gerry taught you well.
