“Listen the snow is falling …”

Gerry’s new sapling, and tree house, on this the first day of snow.  He LOVED the snow falling softly, like today, our first snow.  He would run around like it was a “brand new world”.  Everything was new!  He made me feel like a child.  Now I have no excuse! 🙂

About danielle

I am a rescue mom and school teacher. Gerry came to me from Texas, after he "failed" as a hunting dog. He had NOT had an easy life. I was three years divorced, and we saved each other. Last week I learned he has osteosarcoma. Our world feels upside down...while everyone else is right side up.

He will always be your excuse now, he taught you lots of things that will be a part of you forever. That’s a great song. It’s snowing here too right now in the north of the south! Your angel Gerry is gliding through the snow with his brand new wings looking at your Christmas gift to him with a smile on his mug and grateful love in his heart. He had a life he would have never known if it weren’t for his wonderful mama 💗💗💗 Don’t think for a moment that he doesn’t know that.

Thank yo so much for your words of kindness. It’s my first winter without my boy, and so it goes……

Now THAT is a lovely tribute to Gerry. Every time you look at it through all the seasons (even the muddy ones!) you can remember the lessons he taught you and smile. How perfect, just like him.

I’m glad you were able to share this happy memory with us. I think I speak for everyone…it made us all smile visualizing that happy boy loving his “brand new world”! Gerry clearly enjoyed all his adventures with you and greeted each “brand new world” day with joy!

Can’t wait to see the Gerry’s tree vlossom with renewed life this Spring. Love his “tree house”!

Love and some snow hugs thrown in
